Non sono molte le band che possono annoverare, tra i propri fans, Radiohead, Portishead, Robert Wyatt, Ben Folds, Elvis Costello, Damon Albarn, Ewan McGregor, Nick Hornby... Il privilegio spetta a The Unthanks, un caso a parte nel contesto musicale del nuovo millennio. Originarie dell’Inghilterra settentrionale – per la precisione della regione Northumbria – le sorelle Rachel e Becky Unthank sono due giovani “storytellers” un po’ fuori dal tempo, capaci di spaziare tra antiche e nuove ere del folk britannico.
