The Staple Singers

The Staple Singers sono stati un gruppo musicale statunitense di gospel, soul e R&B. Fu Roebuck "Pops" Staples (1914–2000) il patriarca della famiglia a formare questo gruppo con i figli Cleotha (1934), Pervis (1935), Yvonne (1937), and Mavis (1939). Questo gruppo è molto famoso soprattutto negli Stati Uniti per le loro Hit degli anni '70 come I'll take you there, Respect Yourself, e Let's Do It Again. Il gruppo vede il suo esordio nelle Chiese di Chicago nel 1948, mentre il loro primo contratto da professionisti risale al 1952.
