I The MFA ("Mother Fuckin Allstars") sono formati dal duo Alastair Douglas e Rhys Evans. Il loro incontro avviene nel 2000, entrambi studenti dell'università di Londra. Il loro primo debutto in campo discografico risale a gennaio 2004 con il vinile "The difference it makes" prodotto su Border Community. Il vinile ha grande successo tanto che nel novembre del 2004 la tedesca Kompact lo ristampa. Nel corso dell'estate 2004 pubblicano "Motherload / Sphinx" su Precint ed una traccia intitolata "Two Billion year Journey" su Eq Grey.
