Gli Isley Brothers sono probabilmente la band più tenace della storia del pop. Formata nel 1954 a Cincinnati, negli Stati Uniti, i 5 fratelli esordiscono come gruppo jazz, passano attraverso l'era del twist (“Twist and Shout”, 1962) e finiscono come gruppo soul con “This Old Heart of Mine”, 1967. Il loro album più famoso è “It's Your Thing”. Negli anni '70 la band si indirizzano al fusion rock, con l'album 3 + 3, una pietra miliare della loro carriera, che inaugurano il moltiplicarsi di successi come “Caravan of Love”.
