Pianist Marque Lowenthal (USA), bassist Robin Draganic (Canada) and German percussionist Torsten Zwingenberger had been playing together as a trio for several years when an extraordinary talent crossed their path in the form of singer Lyambiko. Lyambiko, born in Thüringen to an amateur musician from Tanzania and a German mother, had begun to sing jazz only a year before the trio was formed. Now she takes the stage with her new accompanists and fascinates audiences with her own unique sound.
