Gli Invocator sono un gruppo technical thrash metal danese con il chitarrista/cantante di Esbjerg Jacob Hansen, fondatore della band. Sono considerati influenti sulla scena thrash metal/heavy metal europea e noti per aver incorporato elementi del death metal , thrash metal, groove metal e progressive metal nel loro stile. Gli Invocator si sono formati nell'estate del 1987 a Esbjerg , dal precedente nome della band di Jacob Hansen, Black Creed, fondata un anno prima.
