Icon for Hire is an American hard rock band from Decatur, Illinois. Formed in 2007, the band's current lineup consist of vocalist Ariel, guitarist Shawn Jump, bassist Josh Kincheloe, and drummer Adam Kronshagen. Their debut album, Scripted, was released by Tooth & Nail Records on August 23, 2011, and has since broken the label's record for first week sales of a debut album in addition to making five Billboard Charts. Ariel met Jump in 2007 and, upon discovering that he played guitar, initiated a musical collaboration between the two of them.
