I Fates Warning sono un gruppo musicale Heavy Metal Statunitense, uno dei più influenti della scena Progressive Metal. Assieme ai Queensrÿche, sono accreditati tra le maggiori influenze per i gruppi Progressive Metal, come Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery e Vanden Plas. Il gruppo viene originariamente formato con il nome di Misfit nel 1982 da John Arch, Jim Matheos, Victor Arduini, Joe DiBiase, e Steve Zimmerman ad Hartford, nel Connecticut (USA).
