Gli Explosions in the Sky sono un gruppo post-rock strumentale formatosi nel 1999 a Austin, in Texas. Il loro sound si rifà alle sonorità più "canoniche" del genere, quali quelle dei Mogwai e dei Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Il loro primo approccio al mondo discografico risale al 2000 con l'album autoprodotto How Strange, Innocence stampato in sole 300 copie. Dopo la firma con la Temporary Residence viene pubblicato Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die / Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever.
