I Brocas Helm sono una epic metal band formatasi a San Francisco, California. La band venne fondata nel 1981 da Bobbie Wright (voce, chitarra), James Schumacher (basso) e Jack Hays (batteria). Con questa line-up la band firmò un contratto con la First Strike Records negli USA e con la Steamhammer Records per l'Europa, e nello stesso anno la band pubblicò il suo primo album, "Into Battle".
