Boyd Rice è una delle figure underground della post-punk era più provocatrici e detestabili. Un musicista pionieristico del rumore fin dalla fine degli anni settanta ad oggi, egli ha lavorato cimentandosi in diversi ruoli come: musicista, performer, artista, fotografo, saggista, intervistatore, editore, ricercatore dell'occulto, film maker, attore, oratore, deejay, curatore di galleria, designer di tiki bar, e molti altri. Il primo ingresso di rilievo fu come audio sperimantatore dell'avanguardia (registrando sotto il nome di NON)
