Mac DeMarco est un musicien canadien né à Duncan, en Colombie-Britannique. Il a grandi à Edmonton, et a déménagé à Vancouver après le lycée. Il vit maintenant à Montréal. Après avoir fait partie du groupe Makeout Videotape, il a produit trois albums solo, Rock and Roll Night Club, 2, et Salad Days sorti le 1 avril 2014. Il est multi-instrumentiste et c'est également un artiste multimédia. DeMarco mentionne Shuggie Otis, Steely Dan, Weezer et Jonathan Richman comme ses artistes favoris.
