Founded by members Nico (Apewok), hailing from Canada, and Maël (Stab), from Switzerland, Berry Weight incorporates electronic music, an abundance of acoustic instruments and ubiquitous turntables into one sizzling cauldron of hip hop, electro, soul, jazz and world influences. Their first album Music for Imaginary Movies traced a dense sonic groove from which emerged a warm, atmospheric sound. Berry Weight has notably collaborated with singer Astrid Engberg, clarinettist Kledsy Jy and hip hop duo ASM.
