Brainiac (a veces estilizado como 3RA1N1AC) fue una banda de rock alternativo (principalmente synthpunk), formada en 1992. Su principal alineación, a partir de 1994, estaba formada por Tim Taylor (guitarra y voz), Juan Monasterio (bajo), Tyler Trent (batería) y John Schmersal (guitarra), hasta la súbita muerte de Taylor en 1997.
