Black Box Recorder es un grupo londinense de Indie Pop / Trip-Hop formado por Sarah Nixey (voz), Luke Haines (guitarra y voz) y John Moore (guitarra y voz y ex miembro de The Jesus and Mary Chain), aunque el grupo no está activo en la actualidad, no se ha separado oficialmente. Debutaron en 1998 con England Made Me, un álbum con temas Indie Pop de sofisticada lírica. Siguieron con The Facts Of Life, que les proporcionó su primer éxito con el single del mismo nombre en abril de 2000.
