Yello is a Swiss electronic music band formed in Zürich in 1979. For most of its history, the group has functioned as a duo consisting of Dieter Meier and Boris Blank. A founding member, Carlos Perón, left the group in 1983. The band's music is characterised by the use of unconventional sampled sounds and a strong emphasis on rhythm. Meier typically provides vocals and lyrics, while Blank is responsible for composition and production. Among their best-known singles are "Oh Yeah" (1985)
