Why G (born Shamaury White on November 12, 1995) is a Canadian drill rapper. He is a prominent figure in the underground Toronto hip-hop scene. He is originally from the Jamestown area of the Rexdale neighbourhood in Northwest Toronto but moved to the Jane and Finch, Driftwood area. He is heavily associated with the 3L / Blue Feather Records (BFR) music collective, moving in the same circles as fellow Toronto artists Pressa, the late Houdini, and Top5.
