About

Vaines is the passion project of Jared Gaines, a pop artist who often draws influence from his difficult upbringing, which was split between families in Ogdensburg, New York and Toledo, Ohio. After moving to Los Angeles with nothing but $200 in studio equipment, Vaines released "Nobody Like You" in February 2018. The R&B inspired single sparked comparisons to The Weeknd, and Vaines has since followed up with "feelingdown", a guitar heavy track that establishes the musician's lyrical focus on overcoming internal pain.
