Umitaro Abe

About

Umitaro Abe (阿部海太郎) (Born in 1978) is a Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist. From early in his childhood, he familiarized himself with piano, violin, ethnic drums, etc., and started composing through self-study. He majored in musicology at Tokyo University of the Arts and Université Paris 8, and participated in the creation of experimental films and theatre as a composer during that period. Since he came back to Japan, he has been working tirelessly in a range of fields such as theatre
