Sacramento indie-pop band the Loud Family were centred around ex-Game Theory singer/songwriter Scott Miller. During the 1990s they released five albums of literate, experimental and melodic pop to steady critical acclaim but diminishing commercial returns. The Loud Family featured a shifting line-up, including at various points Jozef Becker, Dawn Richardson, Kenny Kessel, Alison Faith Levy, R. Dunbar Poor, Gil Ray, Zach Smith and Paul Wieneke.
