The Braxtons are an American musical quintet consisting of sisters Toni, Trina, Traci, Towanda and Tamar Braxton. Originally from Severn, Maryland, the sisters grew up with religious parents, singing in church choirs and touring the East Coast singing in various events. In 1989, the sisters signed a record deal with Arista, releasing their debut single 'Good Life'. The single practically went unnoticed commercially, leading to the siblings getting dropped from the label.
