Roger José Cury, known simply as Rogê, is a Brazilian singer, composer, and instrumentalist. He is born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. In 2000, he released his first CD independently. His music is steeped in the rich cultural influences of his native country, with a mix of samba, bossa nova and reggae. With his warm voice and compelling melodies he creates a unique style that is both traditional and contemporary. His lyrics, which are mainly about the colorful culture and social landscape of Brazil, connect people from all over the world.
