Revolverheld (German for "gunslinger") is a German rock band from Hamburg. The group was originally formed in 2002 under the name Manga, later changed to "Tsunamikiller" in 2004, and eventually adopted the name Revolverheld following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. The band began their career as a supporting act for Donots, Silbermond, and Udo Lindenberg. They gained wider recognition with the song "Rock n' Roll", which led to their participation in a coaching program at the Pop-Academy Baden-Württemberg.
