There are, at least, two artists known as Racine: 1) A band fronted by Wendy James, a singer-songwriter best known for her lead singing role in the late 80's pop band Transvision Vamp. In 1993 she released her first solo album, containing songs written for her by Elvis Costello, "Now Ain't The Time For Your Tears". It was not a commercial or critical success, and she was soon dropped by her record company. In 2004, Wendy James resurfaced, fronting Racine and released Racine No.
