Gianluigi Gasparetti (26 March 1958 – 12 April 2013), known by the pseudonym Oöphoi, was an Italian ambient musician born in Rome, Italy. Oöphoi's music has been described as static, organic, and minimalist, with a generally dense and monolithic character often associated with meditative and spiritual contexts. His work made use of synthesizers, singing bowls, flutes, and processed voices, and typically featured limited harmonic variation. He recorded using analogue equipment at The Kiva
