About

Miya Folick is an American singer-songwriter born in Santa Ana, California. She has spoken in interviews about how her multicultural background -- her mother is Japanse -- and upbringing in a religious community influenced her songwriting. After an abortive attempt at studying acting in college at NYU, she returned to Los Angeles and began focusing on music, releasing her debut EP, Strange Darling, in 2015. Her second EP, Give It to Me, followed in 2017 and included singles such as “Pet Body” and “God Is a Woman
