Marineros stands upon a simple metaphor that I’m going to specify: life is the sea. There’s no need to take apart and analyze this image. Life is like the sea and we are all sailors: all men will be sailors then / until the sea shall free them, says Leonard Cohen, and that’s what it’s about. We will do our thing until we are freed. Until the end. Out thing is many things and above all of them there’s love.
