Loote is an American pop duo based in New York City, consisting of Jackson Foote and Emma Lov Block. They formed the band and began writing songs together after meeting in a college writing class. Foote plays various instruments, while Block contributes vocals to their music. Block started her career by writing jingles for commercials and children's television networks. At the age of 13, she started performing her own songs at the Bitter End, a renowned rock and roll club on Bleecker Street in New York City.
