
Lisa Jane Stansfield (born 11 April 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and actress. She began her career after winning the "Search for a Star" singing competition in 1980. Following appearances on television and the release of several singles, she formed the band Blue Zone with Ian Devaney and Andy Morris in the mid-1980s. After contributing vocals to Coldcut's "People Hold On" in 1989, she launched a solo career. Stansfield achieved international success with her debut solo album "Affection" (1989)
