
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1979, originally as a collaboration between lead musician, singer, and songwriter Joan Jett and a backing band. The group has undergone numerous lineup changes since its formation, with Jett and producer Kenny Laguna remaining its only consistent members. The band has achieved commercial success with three albums certified either platinum or gold. Its hit singles include "Bad Reputation"
