The more things change, the more they stay the same. Four years and two bands after the break-up of Gods Reflex, Zach Newman, Marcus Spitzmiller, and Jesse Carmona found themselves once again living in the same city. Frustrated with the direction independent music had taken since their departure in 2003, they decided to get together to work on a song Spitzmiller had written. One song became three, and the group began writing and demoing songs for a new band.
