Hailing from Footscray in Melbourne, Victoria; The Football Club consists of Lee Jackievic, Adriano Pruscino, Leah Romero and Ruby Markwell. They describe themselves as as a folk-punk band that plays "sad songs with big drunken choruses and heaped mouthfuls of words, telling stories on topics like sexuality, gender, friendship and cheap red wine". Having received positive reviews on their Triple J Unearthed page for their song Ivy, they have continued to gather a loyal following on the airwaves.
