Fayo (transl. bean) was Acadian musician Mario LeBlanc (born in Dieppe, New Brunswick, on 18 October 1977; died 30 September 2024) remembered for singing in chiac, the southeastern New Brunswick French dialect that mixes French words with English grammar, and vice versa. His music blended folk, rock and urban poetry. Fayo started writing songs at the age of thirteen. He then sang for the Acadian band Réveil until 1996. Soon after, he started his solo career.
