Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra was a band brought together for one album in 2012. It was led by Amanda Palmer, who is also a member of The Dresden Dolls. In an innovative move, the project was funded through Kickstarter, and eventually raised over $1 million against a target of $100,000.
