Hailing from Scotland and Italy, Fraser Shaw and Riccardo Derio, known by their stage name Alex Sonata & TheRio, have rapidly ascended in the global trance scene. The duo have been collaborating since 2018, garnering praise from the likes of Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate and Armin Van Buuren. After many collaborations, the pairing made it official in 2020, and Alex Sonata & TheRio was born. Their last single, ‘Breath Of The Wild’ – inspired by the eponymous entry in The Legend of Zelda video game series
