
Aaron Charles Carter (December 7, 1987 – November 5, 2022) was an American singer and rapper who gained popularity as a teen pop artist in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He released four studio albums during the early phase of his career, becoming well known among preteen and teenage audiences. Carter began performing at the age of seven, following the formation of his brother Nick Carter's group, the Backstreet Boys. He released his self-titled debut album in 1997 at age nine, which sold approximately one million copies worldwide.
