16 Underground is a Southern California quartet consisting of Edward Barraza (guitar, keyboards), Ashley Tarin (vocals), Andrés Sanchez (guitar), and Christian Ramos (drums). The band distinguishes itself from the crowded guitar-rock scene by blending trip-hop aesthetics, shoegaze influences, and sultry vocal delivery into a unique atmospheric sound. Their debut EP Drifting Deeper (Strange View Records) showcases the band's ability to create moody, layered compositions that prioritize subtlety over aggressive rock dynamics.
