Tin Pan Alley was a Japanese band based in Tokyo, Japan. Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, Tatsuo Hayashi, and Masataka Matsutoya made a band called "Caramel Mama" in 1973, but they changed the band's name to Tin Pan Alley in 1974. They made two albums, "Caramel Mama" in 1975 and "Tin Pan Alley 2" in 1977, along with playing as a backing band for many artists both in the studio and live. The band naturally split in the late 70s due to the busy schedules of each of its members.
