The music of Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points first appeared on most people's radars when Benji B and Gilles Peterson started playing demo versions of his music back in 2008. In February 2009, the first Floating Points record appeared in the shops, the double A-side 7" of 'For You'/'Radiality' on Eglo Records, a new label started by Sam himself alongside Rinse FM's Alexander Nut. A month later the 'Love Me Like This' 12" came out on R2 Records and proceeded to cause mayhem on dancefloors across the UK
