
A pioneering Funk crew, Fatback released an impressive nineteen albums between '72 and '89. Originally known simply as Fatback Band, they shortened their name to Fatback in 1977. Fatback's 1979 single "King III (Personality Jock)" predates Sugarhill's "Rapper's Delight" as the first rap record recorded.
