Dazz delivers all of the goods you would expect from an Ohio funk group from that era: gorgeous production combined with well-thought-out songwriting arrangements wrapped around a slick bassline, topped off with a soulful melody. Since it is out of print, isteners would be well-served by checking out Universal’s easily attainable 20th Century Masters — The Millennium Collection: The Best of the Dazz Band. But if you can find this, by all means Funkology is the way to go.
