Profile Inspired by 1950 American classics, Kojima Mayumi created her first demo tape in 1994 and began to submit it to record companies. She received a contract through a label and became a full fledge musician at the age of 18. She debuted in 1995 with the single "Kekkon Soudanshoo", and released her first album two months later. It wasn’t until 1997, that Kojima began to perform live. She started at small venues like Shibuya Club Quattro, and was invited to the Rising Sun Rock Festival four years later.
